Port Elizabeth
Cannibal Recycling Company
Established in 2003, Cannibal Recycling began as a small operation processing just 30 tons of glass per month. Today, we’ve grown into a full-scale recycling business handling over 1,000 tons of glass monthly, serving as a key player in Port Elizabeth’s recycling industry.
Our expansion over the years has enabled us to diversify beyond glass, and we now recycle a wide range of materials including PET plastics, Cardboard, LD (Low-Density) plastics, Aluminium cans and White office paper.
At the heart of our mission is community upliftment. Through Cannibal Glass, we actively support individuals in underdeveloped areas by helping create employment opportunities and a sustainable source of income.

Plastic Recycling
At Cannibal Recycling, we accept and process a variety of recyclable plastics, including:
-
PETE (Polyethylene Terephthalate) – commonly used in water and soft drink bottles
-
HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) – found in milk jugs, detergent bottles, and household containers
-
LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene) – used in plastic bags, shrink wrap, and flexible packaging
-
PP (Polypropylene) – found in yogurt tubs, bottle caps, takeaway containers, and straws
Understanding plastic types and their classifications helps improve recycling practices and reduces contamination in the recycling stream.
♻️ Please rinse all containers before recycling.
